SnapClean is a local-first screenshot extension that processes all data on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your screenshots or personal information to any server.

Data Collection

    SnapClean does NOT collect:
    Screenshots you capture
Websites you visit
Personal information
Usage analytics

Data Storage

All screenshots are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly:

Download the screenshot to your computer
Copy the screenshot to your clipboard
Manually share the screenshot

Permissions

SnapClean requests the following permissions:

activeTab: Required to capture the visible portion of your current tab
storage: Required to save screenshots locally in your browser
downloads: Required to download screenshots to your computer

These permissions are used solely for the core functionality of taking and saving screenshots.

Third-Party Services

SnapClean does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

Data Retention

Screenshots stored in your browser's local storage remain until you:

Delete them manually through the extension
Clear your browser's local storage
Uninstall the extension

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
